Reorganisation of the Federal Ministry of Defence now underway

A new era began on 1 April for the Ministry of Defence in Bonn and Berlin. The Ministry is the first organisational unit to assume a new structure as part of the reorientation of the Bundeswehr.

Berlin, 26.10.2011.
On 26 October, Defence Minister Thomas de Maizière presented the 2011 Stationing Concept developed to support the reorientation of the Bundeswehr. In future, there will be Bundeswehr elements at a total of 264 stations in Germany.
