German Minister of Defense will visit Ramstein Air Base

German Minister of Defense Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer will visit Ramstein Air Base August 17.

The Minister of Defense will be greeted by U.S. and NATONorth Atlantic Treaty Organization representatives for a half-day immersion tour. In addition, she will meet U.S. service members stationed at Ramstein Air Base and members of the German Forces at the NATONorth Atlantic Treaty Organization Headquarters Allied Air Command.

The Minister of Defense Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer will provide a statement to media representatives at approximately 1:30 p.m. to conclude her visit to Ramstein. Media interested in attending the press statement must provide a copy of their German Identification Card and media affiliation to 86th Airlift Wing Public Affairs (email: 86aw.pa@us.af.mil) no later than 5 p.m. Aug. 12, 2021.
