State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Defence.

Rüdiger Wolf was born on 19 November 1951 in Lehrberg/Mittelfranken. He is married and has two sons and one daughter.

EDUCATION AND MILITARY SERVICE

Spring 1970 graduated from Johann Wolfgang Goethe Gymnasium in Wetzlar

1 July 1970 – 30 June 1972 completed military service – final rank: Oberleutnant d.R.

1 Oct. 1972 – 9 Nov. 1977 studied law at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen and the Albrecht Ludwig University in Freiburg im Breisgau

9 Nov. 1977 passed 1st state examination in law

28 April 1980 passed 2nd state examination in law

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

1 May 1980 – 31 March 1982 practised as a lawyer in Wetzlar

1 April 1982 joined the Federal Defence Administration (see activities below)

1 June 1992 – 30 May 1994 leave of absence; served as research assistant (defence policy) in a parliamentary group
